Sealy Inc. Taps i-Logi to Tender International Carrier Bid Packages Online

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (July 24, 2003) –i-Logi LLC, a provider of logistics sourcing solutions just completed a multi-lane, international carrier bid initiative for Sealy, Inc., the world’s largest bedding manufacturer. Using i-Logi’s online system, Sealy was able to solicit, procure and pragmatically evaluate carrier bid packages for its 2004 ocean freight activities. As a result, Sealy expects to cut its transportation costs while significantly reducing transit times.

Based on the results achieved through this engagement, Sealy Inc. projects that their transpacific ocean freight costs are 6-8 percent lower than original estimates for 2004. This coupled with capturing accurate transit times, will enable Sealy, Inc. to better model true costs for future global expansion into new markets.
